Vietjet Air is inviting seasoned Airbus captains to lead line operations across Vietnam’s busiest hubs. Join a modern, fast-growing airline and command the A320 Family on high-tempo routes throughout Southeast Asia.

🧭 The opportunity

As an A320/A321 Captain with Vietjet’s Flight Operations Division, you will operate a modern fleet while mentoring crews and delivering safe, efficient services across multiple Vietnam bases. This fixed-term contract runs from 1 July 2025 through 31 December 2026.

🧰 Key responsibilities

  • Formulate and review flight plans, optimizing routing, fuel, and performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-flight checks and briefings to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Coordinate with ATC for clearances, departures/arrivals, and flight progress reporting.
  • Monitor cockpit instruments and aircraft systems; manage normal and non-normal operations.
  • Assess weather, traffic, and aircraft status; request flight plan revisions when needed.
  • Lead the flight deck and collaborate with cabin crew to ensure passenger compliance with regulations.
  • Complete trip reports and aircraft status reports before and after landing.

🌟 Pilot profile & minimum qualifications

  • Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum 1,500 hours PIC in multi-crew operations.
  • Minimum 500 hours PIC on A320F (excluding PICUS).
  • Valid CAAV ATPL and current A320 Family type rating.
  • Certificate of Upset Recovery Training in a FFS.
  • Valid Instrument Rating and Aircraft Rating.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or higher.
  • Last flight on A320F within 12 months of application.
  • Maximum age: 60 (male) / 55 (female).
  • No accident/incident history within the last 5 years.

🧾 Required documents

  • Letter of authentication from the Civil Aviation Authority of your licence-issuing country (CPL/ATPL).
  • Recommendation Letter or Release Letter from previous airline(s).
  • Criminal record check issued within 6 months, notarized by the Vietnam Embassy in the country of origin.
  • Last 5 pages of your logbook.
  • Passport with at least 1-year validity.
