🧭 The Role

As an A220 First Officer, you’ll operate in a highly collaborative, professional environment—partnering closely with the Captain and flight operations team to deliver safe, efficient, and on-time service. You’ll hone your leadership and decision-making skills with an eye toward a near-term upgrade to Captain.

  • Operate the A220 in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Execute disciplined CRM, checklist, and threat-and-error management practices.
  • Maintain precise training and experience records, including disclosure under the FAA PRD.
  • Embrace recurrent training and mentorship to prepare for Captain upgrade.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total Time: 1,500+ hours (excluding simulator and/or Flight Engineer time)
  • PIC Time: 250+ hours
  • Multi-Engine: 50+ hours
  • Fixed-Wing: 750+ hours
  • Cross-Country: 500+ hours
  • Night: 100+ hours
  • Instrument: 75+ hours
  • Qualifying Experience: Minimum 500 hours via any combination of:
    • US FAR Part 121
    • Military PIC on a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane or powered-lift aircraft requiring more than one pilot
  • Recency: Actively flying two of the past five years
  • License: FAA with ATP Written complete
  • Medical: First Class

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Upgrade Readiness: Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability to upgrade to Captain in a very short period
  • Records Compliance: Ensure pilot training history is accurately maintained and disclosed per FAA PRD regulations
  • FCC: Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit
  • Driver’s License: Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Passport: Valid passport; able to travel unrestricted to and from the United States
  • Screening: Pass a DOT pre-employment drug test; pass a TSA fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
  • Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Type Rating: Not required — training provided
