Pilot Cadet — Take-Off Program (Turkish Airlines)

Turkish Airlines’ Take-Off Cadet Program is a comprehensive, zero-to-flight-deck pathway designed for recent university graduates with no prior pilot training. Across 15–18 months of ground school and flight training, followed by 3–6 months of type rating, successful cadets may be assigned as First Officers with Turkish Airlines.
✈️ About the program
This full-time cadet pathway equips high-potential graduates with the knowledge, skills, and discipline to operate modern commercial aircraft. You’ll progress from theoretical foundations to practical flight training and type rating on Turkish Airlines fleet, preparing you for a First Officer assignment upon successful completion of all stages and company requirements.
🧭 What you will experience
- Integrated theoretical instruction covering aviation fundamentals, operational procedures, and safety management.
- Progressive simulator and flight training under experienced instructors.
- Airline standards training culminating in a 3–6 month aircraft type rating.
- Professional mentoring, performance assessments, and readiness checks for line operations.
🧰 Who we’re looking for
- Citizenship: Turkish citizen or Blue Card holder.
- Education: Minimum undergraduate degree (completed within 2 years 1 month of the standard duration).
- Age: Born between 01.01.1996 and 31.12.2005.
- Language: Fluent Turkish proficiency (required for Blue Card or multiple citizenship holders).
- Height: 160–195 cm; BMI: 20–30.
- Military service: Completed, or valid deferment for at least 2 years as of training start.
- Background: No criminal or archived criminal record; not previously dismissed from Turkish Airlines or former employers.
- Training history: No prior participation in pilot training programs (PPL, CPL, ATPL).
- Commitment (internal applicants): Minimum 3 years’ service at Turkish Airlines; waived for candidates born in 1996.
🌟 Medical and English proficiency
- Medical: Valid EASA/ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate and ability to meet Turkish Airlines’ health assessment standards.
- English (taken within last 2 years):
- IELTS (General or Academic): overall 6.0, speaking 6.0 minimum; or
- PTE Academic: overall 53, speaking 53 minimum; or
- TOEFL iBT: overall 60, speaking 18 minimum.
Note: No pilot license is required to apply; in fact, prior participation in PPL/CPL/ATPL training is not permitted for this cadet intake.
