Join KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as a Type‑Rated First Officer and help carry the Dutch flag even further. 🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate as First Officer on multi‑crew, multi‑engine, turbine aircraft in accordance with KLM SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Deliver safe, efficient and passenger‑focused operations across European and intercontinental routes.
- Exhibit exemplary airmanship, CRM and decision‑making in normal and non‑normal operations.
- Maintain recency, proficiency and compliance through training, checks and continuous learning.
- Collaborate closely with the flight deck, cabin, ground and operations teams to uphold KLM’s safety‑first culture.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Licences: Frozen ATPL with valid IR, MCC, ME and UPRT; EASA licence holders only
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO English: ELP Level 6
- Experience: 500 hours multi‑engine and 500 hours turbine, including at least 500 hours on a heavy twin fixed‑wing (≥ 5,700 kg)
- Recency: 150 hours of recent flying experience in commercial aviation
- Type rating: Required
- Education: Minimum MBO‑4 diploma in technology or HAVO diploma (including English, mathematics and physics), or foreign equivalent
- Language: Good knowledge of Dutch; if not Dutch‑speaking, pass a B2 exam prior to the selection procedure
- Passport: Valid passport

📨 How to apply
- Verify you meet all minimum requirements and hold an EASA licence with a valid Class 1 medical.
- Prepare your CV, licence and medical copies, logbook evidence (hours and recency), and education certificates.
- If required, schedule and pass the Dutch language exam at B2 level before the selection process.
