Fly long-haul on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the US, Asia, and beyond. Norse Atlantic is introducing a commuter-friendly EU Floating Base permanent contract, giving you the freedom to live where you love in Europe while rotating to bases as operations require. Non-type rated and B777/B787 type-rated pilots are both welcome.
🧭 How the EU Floating Base Works
Keep your life rooted while your career takes off. We’ll assign you a European home base that may rotate every few months based on operational needs. You won’t have to relocate—Norse provides a commuting allowance so you can travel to and from your assignments with ease.
🧰 What You Will Do
- Operate the Boeing 787 as First Officer on long-haul international services.
- Execute all duties in accordance with SOPs, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Support flight planning, fuel management, ETOPS/oceanic procedures, and risk mitigation.
- Deliver a safe, efficient, and guest-focused experience alongside the Captain and cabin crew.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- Licence: EASA CPL(A) with ATPL(A) theory credit (frozen ATPL), valid IR and ME
- Medical: Class 1
- English: ICAO ELP Level 5
- Turbine time: 500 hours
- ZFTT pathway: Meet FCL.730.A requirements: minimum 500 hours or 100 sectors on CS-25 multi-pilot aircraft >10t/19 pax
- ATPL theory: Passed in accordance with FCL.515
- ME/IR validity: Must be valid on assessment date; expiry date cannot exceed 12 months from course start
- Right to work: Unrestricted right to live/work in the EU and travel to all countries in our network
- Visa: Ability to obtain a C/1D visa prior to training
- Background: Able to pass enhanced background checks and all regulatory requirements
Candidates holding a CPL(A) with a frozen ATPL are encouraged to apply. Applicants with B777/B787 type ratings are welcome; non-type rated applicants will receive training if selected.
