🧰 What you’ll do
As a Direct Entry Captain, you will take command of Emirates’ Airbus FBW operations on either the A350 or A380, leading a multinational crew and ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-centric long- and ultra-long-haul operations worldwide.
- Exercise Pilot-in-Command (PIC) authority and decision-making across all phases of flight.
- Uphold the highest standards of flight safety, compliance, and technical performance.
- Lead and mentor a diverse, professional crew; foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Deliver an exceptional passenger experience aligned with Emirates’ premium service standards.
🌟 Minimum requirements
- ≥7,000 hours total flying time in multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft (turboprop and/or turbojet only).
Only operating-seat time counts; simulator time, P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston time are excluded. - ≥150 hours in the last 12 months on Airbus FBW as Captain.
- Valid ICAO ATPL with matching Authority Class 1 Medical.
- Class 1 medical certificate with no limitations other than visual corrections.
- ICAO English Level 5 or higher.
- Current Airbus FBW Captain flying required. Airbus FBW excludes the A220.
🧭 Pathways to qualify
- A380 pathway:
- ≥3,000 PIC hours on Airbus FBW wide-body aircraft (A330, A340, A350 or A380).
- Currently flying an Airbus FBW wide-body as Captain.
- A350 pathway:
- ≥3,000 PIC hours on Airbus FBW (A320, A330, A340, A350 or A380).
- Currently flying Airbus FBW as Captain.
🌍 Package & benefits (tax‑free in Dubai)
- Total annual package: Up to AED 1,185,000 (≈USD 320,000).
- Annual take‑home cash: AED 575,000 (≈USD 155,000) comprising annualised basic salary and flying pay.
- Monthly take‑home cash: AED 48,000 (≈USD 13,000) based on an average of 85 flying hours.
- Housing: Company-provided accommodation with utilities.
- Education support: Allowances for up to three children—Primary AED 52,250; Secondary AED 79,750.
- Leave: 42 calendar days of annual leave.
