🧭 The opportunity

As Captain on the E170/E190, you will lead safe, efficient operations across the SAS network, setting the standard for professionalism, crew leadership, and customer care.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • License: Valid EASA ATPL (A)
  • Medical: EASA Class 1
  • Language: ICAO English Level 5 or higher
  • Type Rating: Not required; training provided (NTR accepted)
  • Total Flight Time: One of the following pathways:
    • 4,000 total hours, including 250 hours as PIC or PICUS
    • 3,500 total hours, including 500 hours as PIC on aircraft with MTOW > 16 t
    • 3,000 total hours, including 1,000 hours as PIC on aircraft with MTOW > 16 t
  • Work authorization: Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU (no visa sponsorship)

🌟 Additional requirements & screening

  • Clean criminal record
  • Background check and personal security interview required by SAS
  • Mandatory drug and alcohol test
  • Both the personal security interview and the drug/alcohol test must be completed in the city where you will be based
