Make the leap from turboprops to jets with Scoot Pte Ltd. We’re expanding our Embraer 190 narrow-body operations and welcoming experienced turboprop Captains into direct-entry command in Singapore.
✈️ About the role
As a Direct Entry Captain on the E190, you’ll take the left seat from day one, leading safe, punctual operations across Scoot’s growing network. This role is designed for seasoned turboprop commanders ready to transition to commercial jets, combining command authority with exemplary safety leadership, operational discipline, and a passion for developing teammates.
🧭 Key responsibilities
- Command the E190 from the left-hand seat, upholding the highest professional and personal standards.
- Deliver every flight safely, comfortably, and on time.
- Lead by example, fostering teamwork and coaching fellow Scootees to deliver the signature Scootitude experience.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Flight experience minimums:
- Total time: 4,000+ hours on aeroplanes.
- PIC time: 2,000+ hours (excluding P1 U/S).
- Multi‑engine time: 2,000+ hours.
- If you do not have jet experience: You must have more than 4,000 total flight hours on aeroplanes with a maximum certificated take‑off mass (MTMA) of 5,700 kg or more, including a minimum of 2,000 PIC hours on multi‑engine turboprop commercial airline transport aircraft certificated for multi‑crew operation.
- Licence: A Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS)–issued ICAO ATPL. Foreign ATPL holders must complete licence conversion, including an instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least six months’ validity at time of assessment.
- Language: English proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Compliance: Ability to meet all CAAS vaccination requirements.
- Personal attributes: Leadership and mentoring mindset, teamwork, composure, confidence, maturity, a sense of humour, and the Scootitude DNA.

- Current CV and copies of licences and medical certificates.
- Logbook summary substantiating total, PIC, and multi‑engine hours.
- Evidence of ICAO English Level 4+ and ability to meet CAAS vaccination requirements.
- If holding a non‑CAAS ATPL, confirmation of your readiness to complete CAAS licence conversion (including IR and proficiency check).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the Singapore Assessment Centre in 2026.
