🧭 The role at a glance
- Command E170/E190 operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient flights in a multi‑crew environment.
- Lead the flight deck, mentoring and developing First Officers while championing a just culture.
- Execute SOPs with precision, exercising sound judgement in dynamic operational conditions.
- Uphold the highest standards of CRM, threat and error management, and passenger care.
- Collaborate with Operations, Training, and Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Flight time (jets): Total flight time ≥ 3,500 hours on aeroplanes with MTMA ≥ 5,700 kg
- PIC: ≥ 1,000 PIC hours (exclude P1 U/S hours) on multi‑engine jet, commercial airline transport aircraft certificated for multi‑crew operation
- Turbine: ≥ 1,000 hours
- Licence: ATPL (ICAO) — CAAS issued; or foreign ICAO ATPL with eligibility for CAAS licence conversion
- Medical: Class 1
- English: ICAO Level 4 or higher
- Vaccination: Satisfy all vaccination requirements as required by CAAS
🧩 Alternate pathway (for pilots without jet experience)
- Total flight time > 4,000 hours on aeroplanes with MTMA ≥ 5,700 kg
- ≥ 2,000 PIC hours (exclude P1 U/S hours) on multi‑engine turboprop, commercial airline transport aircraft certificated for multi‑crew operation
Note: Non‑Type Rated candidates are welcome — E‑Jet training is provided upon selection.

📋 Regulatory notes
- Licence conversion (if holding a foreign ICAO ATPL): You must meet CAAS conversion requirements, including a valid instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least 6 months’ remaining validity at the point of application.
- Compliance: All appointments are subject to medical, background, and regulatory clearances.
