Turn your passion for aviation into a profession. European Flight Academy is recruiting motivated trainees for a dual program that combines advanced pilot training with academic study. In just 22–24 months, you will complete integrated ATPL training alongside a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Systems Technology & Management—preparing you for First Officer opportunities across Lufthansa Group airlines.
- Outcome on completion: ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) + Bachelor of Engineering
- Focus: Integrated theoretical and practical flight training aligned with airline operations
- Pathway: Tailored to prepare graduates for First Officer roles within Lufthansa Group
- Theory: Navigation, Meteorology, Air Law, Flight Planning, Human Performance, Operational Procedures
- Flight training: Single- and multi-engine aircraft operations, IFR procedures, and multi-crew coordination
- Simulation: Advanced simulator sessions to build systems knowledge and decision-making skills
- Academics: Aeronautical Systems Technology & Management (B.Eng.) integrated with your pilot training
- Minimum 17 years of age at the time of application
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur/Matura or equivalent)
- EU citizenship or a permanent residence permit with unrestricted work authorization in the EU (plus Switzerland)
- English proficiency: B2 level or higher
- Medical fitness: Current valid DLR medical certificate (minimum 1 year validity at application) and ability to meet EASA Class 1 medical requirements
- Academic commitment: Completion of the Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Systems Technology & Management as part of the dual program
- ATPL qualification enabling airline transport pilot privileges upon meeting experience requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical Systems Technology & Management)
- Airline-ready skill set for First Officer roles within Lufthansa Group carriers
- End-to-end training from fundamentals to multi-crew operations with high-fidelity simulators
