🧾 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 1,500+ hours at time of application
  • Relevant turbine time: 500+ hours on a relevant aeroplane type
  • Type rating: Current and valid on a relevant multi‑pilot type
  • Licence: ATPL issued by EASA or UK CAA
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language: ICAO English Level 6
  • Passport: Valid for at least 12 months from application

Flight time notes: “Relevant aeroplane type” is defined (Part‑FCL) as a multi‑pilot turbo‑jet aircraft certified to CS‑25 or equivalent, or a multi‑pilot turbo‑prop aeroplane with a maximum certificated take‑off mass of at least 10 tonnes or a certified passenger seating configuration of more than 19.

🧪 ZFT/ZFTT eligibility

To be eligible for ZFT/ZFTT conversion training, you must have relevant aeroplane type experience within the 12 months preceding the start of the ZFTT course.
