As a Dash 8 Captain, you’ll set the tone for safety, professionalism, and exceptional service while operating across varied terrain and weather typical of Atlantic Canada and Quebec. Expect hands-on flying, meaningful community impact, and a schedule that blends regional line flying with diverse charter missions.
- Operate the Dash 8 Q‑Series in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a high-performing flight crew, demonstrating strong CRM and decision-making.
- Deliver smooth, efficient operations across short sectors and remote destinations.
- Uphold safety, compliance, and on-time performance across scheduled and charter services.
🧭 Where You’ll Fly
From coastal approaches to metropolitan airspace, your flying will span:
- Scheduled network: 27 destinations across Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario.
- Charter operations: Throughout Canada and Eastern North America.
- Crew bases: St. John’s (YYT), Halifax (YHZ), Montreal (YUL).
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- License: ATPL issued by TCCA
- Medical: Class 1
- Language: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
- Type rating: Not required — provided during training (NTR)
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Travel eligibility: Able to travel to the United States without restrictions; valid passport at time of hire
- Security clearance: Eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC
- Work authorization: Legal right to work in Canada; visa sponsorship not provided
- Open to licence holders: TCCA only
