✈️ The opportunity
As Captain on the Dash 8, you will take command of day-to-day flight operations, lead your crew by example, and uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer care. You bring deep turboprop expertise and a calm, decisive approach to every sector.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Command Dash 8 flights as PIC, ensuring safe, compliant operations.
- Execute flight planning, performance calculations, and fuel strategies with precision.
- Lead and mentor the flight deck and cabin team, fostering a just safety culture.
- Apply SOPs and best practices across all phases of flight and in varied operating environments.
- Manage normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures with confidence and clarity.
- Represent the operation professionally with ATC, ground teams, and stakeholders.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 3,500 hours
- Command time: 1,000 hours PIC
- Turboprop command: Minimum 1,000 hrs P1 on turboprop aircraft above 15 tonnes MTOM
- Type rating: Current Dash 8 type rating
- Licence: Valid UK CAA ATPL
- Medical: Valid Class 1
- Language: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
- Work authorisation: Able to work without visa sponsorship
Only candidates meeting all minimum thresholds can be considered.
🌟 Preferred experience
- Previous Dash 8 line experience.
- Military aviation background.
- Special mission crew experience.
