Chief Pilot – A320 Fleet (Saudi Arabia)

🧭 Mission

Own the technical and operational leadership of the A320 fleet: build robust operational controls and monitoring systems, elevate flight safety and crew performance, and ensure unwavering compliance with GACA regulations, applicable GACAR requirements, Operations Specifications and company procedures.

🧰 Key responsibilities

• Hold technical responsibility for the assigned A320 fleet within authority delegated by the Director of Flight Operations.
• Control, manage and supervise flight crew, including their welfare and matters affecting daily operational and commercial activities.
• Establish and maintain operational controls and monitoring systems to ensure safe, efficient operations compliant with GACA regulations, GACAR, Operations Specifications and company procedures.
• Guide and monitor fleet performance and services; implement Flight Operations policies; directly supervise flight operations to uphold high standards of safety, security, regulatory compliance, efficiency and service quality.
• Translate policies, strategies and objectives into long-, medium- and short-term operational plans.
• Oversee Operations Specifications Sections A, B and C and maintain continuous compliance with their requirements.
• Ensure flight crew meet all applicable requirements (GACAR Part 121, GACA, Operations Manual, OpSpecs), keeping qualifications, licences, ratings, medical certificates, training, checking, recency and competency current.
• Monitor adherence to operational procedures, policies and safety standards; take timely corrective action when required.
• Participate in investigations of incidents, accidents, occurrences and other flight-related events as assigned or required; ensure timely, accurate reporting to internal departments and regulatory authorities.
• Review investigation findings and implement or recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture; identify, escalate and address operational risks; monitor fleet and crew performance to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the Director of Flight Operations and cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues, maintain continuity of operations and drive initiatives that strengthen operational standards, crew performance and flight safety.

🌟 What you’ll bring

• Valid GACA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). (License type: ATPL_ICAO)
• At least 3 years’ experience as Pilot-in-Command on Airbus A320 aircraft.
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable regulations and requirements, the company Air Operator Certificate (AOC), Operations Specifications and standards necessary to ensure safety, security and efficiency.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills.
• Basic knowledge of incident and accident investigation concepts.
• Advanced Safety Management System (SMS) and Human Factors (HF) training.
