✈️ About the programme

Designed for pilots who have completed—or are close to completing—their professional flight training, this pathway prepares you for life as a Second Officer. You’ll experience Jet2’s operation first‑hand, understand what makes us an award‑winning airline and tour operator, and develop into a safe, polished, commercially minded flight deck professional.

🧭 What you’ll experience

Immersion in live operations: base orientation, flight planning, dispatch, and turnaround.
Airline SOPs, CRM, threat & error management, and customer ethos.
Technical refreshers: performance, systems familiarisation, FMS/automation and flight monitoring.
Line‑oriented scenarios and simulator preparation ahead of type rating.
Professionalism on the line: communication, decision‑making and resilience.

Licence: UK CAA Frozen ATPL
Ratings/Certificates: IR, MCC, ME, UPRT
Medical: Class 1
English: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
Type rating: Not required (training provided)

Currency: Evidence of recent flying currency via training and/or regular flying
