✈️ The Opportunity

As a First Officer on the Boeing 787, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and smooth long-haul operations while providing a great experience for our customers. This is a chance to join a collaborative team and contribute to building one of the industry’s most exciting airlines.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Captain in the safe, efficient operation of the Boeing 787 across all phases of flight.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight preparations, including systems checks, performance calculations, weather analysis, and route/NOTAM review.
  • Verify weight and balance and performance data prior to departure.
  • Operate aircraft systems in line with SOPs and manufacturer guidance; monitor performance, navigation, and communication systems in-flight.
  • Communicate effectively with ATC, ground, and cabin crews; contribute to a positive, professional cockpit environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, aviation regulations, international standards, and the Safety Management System; report safety concerns promptly.
  • Participate in regular simulator training, proficiency checks, and emergency procedure drills.
  • Support cabin crew briefings and address passenger-related concerns when required; act as a brand ambassador.
  • Complete accurate and timely flight logs, reports, and required documentation.
  • Stay current with company manuals, operational procedures, and regulatory updates; take part in post-flight debriefs to drive continuous improvement.

🧰 What You Bring

  • Licensing: UK CAA ATPL or UK CAA CPL/IR, plus a valid UK CAA Class 1 Medical.
  • Experience: Minimum 500 hours total flight time on multi-pilot (CS-25) aircraft.
  • Type Rating: Boeing 787 type rating, or willingness to complete B787 type rating training.
  • Language: ICAO English Level 5 (Extended) or Level 6 (Expert) endorsed on license; strong spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge: Solid grasp of aviation regulations, navigation, and meteorology.
  • Core skills: Excellent situational awareness, sound decision-making, and problem-solving; calm under pressure with the ability to adapt to changing operational conditions.
  • Right to work: Unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
  • Proximity to base: Live within 90 minutes of London Gatwick Airport or be willing to secure suitable accommodation within that radius.

📍 Base & Lifestyle

Your home base will be London Gatwick (LGW). To support operational reliability and quality of life, pilots are expected to reside within a 90-minute commute of LGW or relocate accordingly.
