Boeing 787 Captain (Direct Entry) – 2026 Intake, Singapore Assessment Centre

✈️ The mission

• Take command of B787 operations from the left seat, upholding the highest personal and professional standards.
• Ensure every flight is conducted safely, smoothly and on time, with an unwavering commitment to compliance and airmanship.
• Lead by example, coaching and developing crew members to deliver the Scoot experience with confidence, care and composure.

🧭 What you will bring

• More than 5,000 total flight hours on aeroplanes with an MTMA of 5,700 kg or more.
• At least 2,000 Pilot in Command hours (P1, excluding P1 U/S) on multi engine jet commercial airline transport aircraft certificated for multi crew operation.
• Current ICAO ATPL issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, or the ability to complete CAAS licence conversion including instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least six months validity.
• English language proficiency at minimum ICAO Level 4.
• Compliance with all CAAS vaccination requirements.
• Proven leadership, teamwork and maturity; calm under pressure, confident decision maker with a sense of humour and the Scootitude DNA.
• Preferably B787 type rated and current; where applicable, successful candidates may be trained for the assigned fleet subject to co payment and a training bond.

🧰 Training and type rating

Experienced B787 type rated Captains are strongly encouraged to apply. Where applicable, Scoot may provide training to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating for the assigned fleet, supported by streamlined programmes for quicker operational integration. Candidates receiving such training will be required to make a co payment toward training costs and enter into a training bond.
