Boeing 737NG Captain (Type-Rated)

🧭 The role

As Captain on the 737NG, you will lead the flight deck, uphold the highest safety and compliance standards, and deliver a smooth, efficient operation across our network.

• Exercise full command, ensuring safe, compliant operations and excellent decision-making in all phases of flight.
• Champion SOP adherence, threat and error management, and robust crew resource management.
• Mentor and develop First Officers, fostering a learning-focused cockpit culture.
• Represent the airline’s values with professional conduct and exceptional passenger care.

🧰 Minimum qualifications

• Total time: 4000 hours
• PIC in Type: 500 hours on Boeing 737NG
• Flight time notes: At least 1000 hours on aircraft over 27 tons MTOW
• Type rating: Current Boeing 737NG type rating required
• License req.: ATPL
• Open to Lic. Holders: DGCA (Turkey), EASA, FAA, ICAO
• Medical: Class 1
• ICAO ELP level: 4 or higher

• Education: At least high school graduation
• Discipline: No written punishment due to flight failure or flight indiscipline
• Background: No criminal record or criminal archive record
• Base: Accept and reside at the base determined by the company
• Language (Blue Card holders): Able to speak Turkish fluently and understandably
• Medical clearance: Final pre-employment examination by AJet workplace physicians is essential
• Training history: No previous training/control flight failures in Turkish Airlines or other airlines
• Employment history: Must not have previously left THY AO or its subsidiaries through termination
