As a First Officer at Copa Airlines, you will safely assist the Captain in operating the Boeing 737 in accordance with all applicable local and international aviation regulations and company policies and procedures. You will be an ambassador of our safety-first culture while delivering the warm, reliable service our passengers expect across the Americas.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Operate the aircraft in strict compliance with SOPs, checklists, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Captain with flight planning, performance calculations, fuel management, and operational decision-making.
  • Execute precise FMS navigation and systems monitoring on the 737 MAX, ensuring a safe and efficient flight profile.
  • Apply effective CRM and TEM principles to maintain the highest levels of safety and situational awareness.
  • Conduct thorough preflight, inflight, and postflight procedures and documentation.
  • Deliver a consistent, customer-focused experience while representing Copa Airlines with professionalism.
  • Maintain currency and proficiency through recurrent training and evaluations.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: Minimum 350 hours
  • Foreign applicants: Minimum 1,000 hours total time in fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Licence: CPL with IR and Multi-Engine (ME)
  • Open to Lic. Holders: AAC
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO ELP: Level 5 or higher
  • Type Rating: Not required (training provided)
  • Right to Work: Must have legal authorization; visa sponsorship is not provided
  • NTR: Non-type rated candidates welcome
