Join West Atlantic UK as a Boeing 737 Captain on a permanent contract, flying our 737-800 and 737-400 freighters on time-critical cargo services and ad-hoc charters. From automotive parts and musical equipment to specialist and dangerous goods, you’ll help keep supply chains moving when every minute counts.
✈️ The role
As Captain, you will lead safe, efficient operations across our B737 freighter fleet, executing night and day missions with precision, teamwork, and clear decision-making. You’ll collaborate closely with your crew, Operations Control, and ground partners to deliver on-time performance for critical cargo movements.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the Boeing 737-800 and 737-400 freighters in accordance with the UK CAA, company SOPs, and all applicable regulations.
- Command time-critical cargo sectors and ad-hoc charters, including specialist and dangerous goods within regulatory allowances.
- Plan and brief each sector, manage fuel and payload considerations, and ensure punctual departures and efficient turnarounds.
- Lead the flight deck through all phases of flight, fostering strong communication and teamwork.
- Maintain high safety and compliance standards through robust threat and error management and sound command judgement.
- Operate predominantly night schedules as required by the freight operation.

🌟 Minimum requirements
- Licence: UK CAA ATPL or CPL with appropriate command privileges, with valid IR and ME.
- Type rating: Current Boeing 737 (Classic or NG) type rating.
- Medical: Class 1.
- Language: ICAO English Level 5 or higher.
- Work eligibility: Ability to live and work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not provided.
