✈️ The Opportunity
Air Canada is inviting experienced, safety-focused pilots to join our Toronto crew base. As a Direct Entry Pilot, you’ll fly a modern, diverse fleet on a network that spans Canada and the globe. New hires typically begin as a First Officer on our domestic operation or as a Relief Pilot supporting our long-haul international services.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Operate Air Canada aircraft in accordance with company SOPs and Transport Canada regulations.
- Work within a multi-crew environment to deliver a safe, reliable, and customer-focused operation.
- Execute domestic, transborder, and international flight duties, including relief responsibilities on long-range sectors.
- Participate in ongoing training and checking to maintain the highest professional standards.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- Flight time: 2,000 hours fixed-wing
- Licence: Canadian ATPL with current Group 1 (Multi‑engine) Instrument Rating
- Medical: Ability to meet Air Canada and Transport Canada Category 1 medical and visual acuity standards
- Travel documents: Valid Canadian passport; able to travel without restriction across the Air Canada network
- Security clearance: Eligible to obtain and hold a RAIC
- Work eligibility: Legally entitled to work in Canada

🌟 Preferred Assets
- College or university diploma/degree (three- or four-year program), ideally in aviation
- Commercial or military flight experience
- Multi‑crew experience on jet and/or turboprop aircraft

- Fleet variety: Seven aircraft types, from the Airbus A220 to the Boeing 777
- Crew bases: Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver
- Entry roles: First Officer (domestic) or Relief Pilot (long‑range), with opportunities to progress across fleets and routes
