Airline Captain (Pilot in Command) – Tocumen, Panama

✈️ The mission

As the Captain and Pilot in Command, you will lead each flight with unwavering commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational precision. You will coordinate with ATC, adhere to the operational flight plan, and make sound decisions to protect the aircraft, crew, and cargo or passengers under all conditions.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Conduct takeoffs, approaches, landings, and enroute navigation while ensuring strict flight-plan compliance and continuous coordination with ATC.
• Operate within weather minima no lower than those established for the aerodrome in use; in emergencies, exercise PIC judgment to ensure safety.
• Verify that all required instruments and equipment—including emergency, survival, and safety gear—are serviceable, accessible, and appropriate for the route and conditions.
• Complete and monitor the navigation portion of the operational flight plan, tracking progress and managing any voluntary or accidental deviations, with timely reporting to ATC.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable provisions and regulations of the AAC and other relevant civil aviation authorities.
• When circumstances could endanger the aircraft or its occupants, take the measures you deem most appropriate in the interest of flight safety, even if they depart from standard regulations.

• Valid ATPL (ICAO).
• Recent logbook documentation: copy of the last three pages sealed by the AAC.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, minimum Level 4 in both spoken and written, certified by the AAC.
• Current medical fitness certificate.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships, analytical ability, clear communication, sound decision-making, and problem-solving capability.
• Operational availability and adaptability to procedures and requirements applicable at the start of the selection process.
