🧭 The opportunity

As a KLM First Officer, you’ll operate Airbus aircraft on scheduled commercial flights, partnering with an experienced crew to deliver safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operations across KLM’s network. You’ll build your career through a robust seniority system within a modern, multi-type fleet environment.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Operate Airbus aircraft on scheduled commercial services in accordance with KLM SOPs and EASA regulations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, performance planning, and crew briefings.
  • Manage all phases of flight with a strong focus on safety, CRM, fuel efficiency, and on-time performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold KLM’s values and deliver an excellent passenger experience.

✅ What you’ll bring

  • Valid EASA ATPL or fATPL with current IR, MCC, and ME endorsements.
  • UPRT certificate.
  • Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6.
  • Minimum 500 hours on heavy twin-engine fixed-wing aircraft (≥ 5,700 kg); multi-engine time: 500 hours.
  • At least 150 hours of recent commercial flying experience.
  • Current type rating on a heavy twin-engine aircraft (A/C type rating required).
  • Valid passport.
  • Education: minimum MBO-4 in technology or HAVO including English, mathematics, and physics.
  • Dutch language proficiency at B2 level (CEFR) or ability to pass the B2 exam.
  • Existing authorization to live and work in the Netherlands/EU. No visa sponsorship is provided.
