🧭 The role

As an A320 First Officer at Etihad, you’ll operate across a dynamic global network, uphold the highest safety and service standards, and contribute to fuel-efficient, sustainable operations. You’ll work within a highly professional multi-crew environment, applying robust CRM and TEM principles while delivering the exceptional guest experience Etihad is known for.

• Operate A320 family aircraft in full compliance with Etihad SOPs, GCAA/ICAO regulations, and international best practice.
• Execute all phases of flight with precision—preflight planning, performance, navigation, and threat/error management.
• Champion safety, punctuality, fuel efficiency, and service excellence on every sector.
• Maintain training currency and participate in recurrent checks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with flight operations, cabin crew, and ground teams to deliver a seamless end-to-end journey.

🧰 What you’ll bring

• License: Unrestricted ATPL or valid Frozen ATPL (CPL/IR/ME) issued by an ICAO member state. Holders of Frozen ATPL must present ATPL Theoretical Knowledge exam results and an integrated ATPL course completion certificate.
• Accepted Licenses: ICAO
• Medical: Unrestricted, current Class 1
• English Proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or better (written and verbal)
• Age: Must not have attained the age of 50 on the day of joining
• Type Rating: Current A320 type rating, valid for at least 2 more months at the time of joining
• Currency: Flown any A320 family aircraft within the last 12 months

🧭 Minimum flight experience

• Total Time: 2,000 hours
• In Type: 500 hours on A320 family
• Experience pathways (meet one):
  • Path A: Minimum 1,500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit MPA and at least 500 hours on A320 type. (Glass cockpit: aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS)
  • Path B: Minimum 1,500 hours total flying time and at least 1,000 hours on any A320 family aircraft
