🧭 The role

As a First Officer on the A320, you’ll be a key member of the flight deck—supporting the Captain to deliver safe, secure, and efficient operations on every sector while developing the leadership skills required for future command.

• Assist the Captain with flight preparation, navigation, and all phases of operation in line with company SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Maintain an independent cross‑check of aircraft position, terrain, and weather to ensure safe navigation at all times.
• Provide clear, timely communication and advice to support effective flight deck decision‑making.
• Uphold exemplary standards of discipline, conduct, and personal appearance—representing Etihad professionally on the ground and in the air.
• Assume command in accordance with rank and company procedures in the event of Captain incapacitation.

🧰 What you’ll bring

To be considered for A320 First Officer, you must meet either Criteria A or Criteria B, in addition to the General Eligibility below.

• Criteria A: Minimum 2,000 hours total flying time; at least 1,500 hours on multi‑crew, glass cockpit MPA; minimum 500 hours on A320 family type.
• Criteria B: Minimum 1,500 hours total flying time; at least 1,000 hours on any A320 family aircraft.

• General eligibility: A320 type rating with recency (flown any A320 family aircraft within the last 12 months) and validity of at least 2 more months at time of joining; Unrestricted ATPL or valid frozen ATPL (CPL/IR + ATPL theory results and integrated course completion); Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical; English proficiency ICAO Level 4+; Must be under 50 years of age on date of joining.

Glass cockpit refers to aircraft with a FMS coupled to APFDS. Visa sponsorship available; EU passport not required.
