🧭 Role overview

As Captain, you will command A320 family flights within a dynamic short-haul network, upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer focus. You will lead the flight deck, mentor your crew, and make sound operational decisions in varied conditions while ensuring an excellent passenger experience.

📏 Minimum requirements & eligibility

  • Total time: 4,000+ hours
  • In type: 500+ hours on the Airbus A320 family
  • Type rating: Required (current and valid) on A320
  • Command experience: Minimum 500 total PIC hours on jet aircraft over 30 tonnes MTOW (by easyJet induction date)
  • Licence required: ATPL (UK CAA)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
  • Right to work: The right to live and work in the UK, with unrestricted access across the UK, EEA and the easyJet network
  • Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not provided

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Command A320 family operations to the highest safety and compliance standards, applying robust TDODAR/TEM principles and sound judgement throughout each sector.
  • Lead and mentor the crew, fostering effective CRM, clear communication, and a supportive, high-performance cockpit culture.
  • Execute meticulous flight preparation: performance, fuel planning, weather, NOTAMs, MEL/CDL considerations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Manage irregular operations with composure—diversions, tech events, and ATC constraints—working closely with OCC and ground teams.
  • Champion punctuality and efficiency while delivering a calm, professional passenger experience from pushback to parking.
