IndiGo is seeking experienced Captains to command Airbus A320 operations across India. This is a non-type-rated opportunity for seasoned leaders who meet DGCA requirements and bring a proven commitment to safety, judgment, and operational excellence.

🧭 The Mission

Lead safe, efficient A320 operations across IndiGo’s pan-India network. You will command every stage of flight, uphold the highest safety standards, and set the tone for teamwork and service on the flight deck and in the cabin.

  • Command A320 flights while ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, DGCA regulations, and company policies.
  • Exercise decisive, safety-first judgment in planning, dispatch, and in-flight operations.
  • Lead and mentor flight crew; champion CRM and a just culture.
  • Deliver punctual, fuel-efficient operations and an outstanding passenger experience.

🧰 Essential Qualifications

  • Indian national or OCI holder.
  • Valid DGCA-issued ATPL.
  • Valid FRTO (Flight Radio Telephone Operator certificate).
  • Valid RTR (Restricted Type Rating or equivalent).
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Multi-Engine endorsement on license.
  • Minimum 25 hours Multi-Engine time (15 hours actual aircraft; maximum 10 hours simulator).
  • Minimum 3000 hours total flying experience.
  • Minimum 500 hours PIC on jet aircraft (MTOW > 15,000 kg) operated by a Scheduled Operator.
  • Minimum 4000 hours PIC on turboprop aircraft (MTOW > 15,000 kg) operated by a Scheduled Operator.
  • Accident- and incident-free record at time of application.
  • Maximum age 58 years.
  • Applications welcome from non-type-rated Captains.
