✈️ The opportunity

Etihad Airways is recruiting experienced A320 Captains to join our Abu Dhabi base. In this command role, you will hold ultimate authority for the safe, secure, and efficient operation of each flight, leading flight and cabin crew, and upholding Etihad’s standards of safety, professionalism, operational excellence, reliability, and environmental responsibility. You’ll also have access to broad career-development pathways across leadership, training, fleet management, and wider Flight Operations functions.

🧭 What you’ll lead

• Exercise full command from taxi-out to final engine shutdown, ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft at all times.
• Champion effective Crew Resource Management and sound, timely decision-making.
• Operate efficiently in accordance with company fuel and sustainability policies.
• Deliver consistent On Time Performance to support Etihad’s reliability and guest-satisfaction commitments.

🧰 What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5,500 hours total flying time.
• Minimum 2,500 hours Pilot-in-Command on multi-crew glass-cockpit aircraft (defined as aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS).
• Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command on the Airbus A320 Family.
• Recent A320 Family experience: flown within the last 12 months.
• Valid A320 type rating at the time of joining (minimum two months’ validity), and current on type.
• Unrestricted, current ICAO ATPL and unrestricted, current Class 1 Medical.
• English language proficiency Level 4 or higher (written and verbal).
• Under 59 years of age on the date of joining.
• Current TRE/TRI experience is an advantage.
• Note: For hours accumulated with inflight relief, only 75% of total hours count toward the required minimum.
