Singapore Airlines is inviting accomplished Captains to join our Airbus A350 or A380 fleet on a fixed-term assignment of up to 12 months. If you bring deep widebody experience, a safety-first mindset, and a passion for operational excellence, we’d like to hear from you.
✈️ The Opportunity
As a Direct Entry Captain, you will command either the Airbus A350 or A380, upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and service. You’ll be part of an experienced team operating international services and ensuring every sector is executed to exacting standards.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Command A350 or A380 operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and on-time performance.
- Lead the flight deck, demonstrating sound judgement in all phases of flight and across varied operational conditions.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and risk assessments for international operations.
- Coordinate seamlessly with flight and cabin crew, ATC, and ground operations to deliver a safe, efficient journey.
- Champion a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate recognised by, or eligible for validation by, CAAS.
- Valid ATPL with Airbus A350 or Airbus A380 type rating recognised by, or eligible for validation by, CAAS.
- Minimum 7,000 total flying hours, including:
- 3,000 Pilot‑in‑Command (PIC) hours on commercial jets in international operations, and
- At least 1,500 PIC hours on the A350 or A380.
- At least two years of experience as Captain on the A350 or A380 prior to the application date.
- English language proficiency of ICAO Level 5 or above for radiotelephony.
- Minimum height of 1.58 m to ensure full and safe operation of flight deck controls.
