Wizz Air UK is welcoming experienced Airbus Captains to join its A320 family fleet in London. If you’re currently flying the A320 in the USA or Canada and have UK or Irish roots, this is your fast-track route to a UK cockpit—with a sponsored UK licence conversion and a competitive starting salary.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Command A320 family operations safely and efficiently on Wizz Air UK routes.
- Lead and mentor the flight deck and cabin crew, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence in all phases of flight.
- Uphold Wizz Air’s customer-focused, on-time performance standards.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2,000 hours Airbus A320 family PIC time.
- Actively flying the A320 in an airline environment at time of application.
- Full ATP/ATPL issued by FAA, Transport Canada (TCCA), CASA, or another ICAO state.
- UK or Irish citizenship—or eligibility for a UK Ancestry Visa via British or Irish grandparents.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and CRM skills.
🌟 Licensing, conversion and onboarding
- UK conversion: FAA/ICAO to UK licence conversion provided and sponsored by the airline.
- Exams & medical: Complete UK CAA written exams and obtain an initial UK medical within 12 months prior to start.
- Reimbursement: Certain licence-conversion costs are reimbursed upon joining.
- Required licence: ATPL.
🗺️ Base, roster and pay
- Base: London, United Kingdom.
- Roster: Random or fixed 5 on / 4 off.
- Starting salary: Approximately $195,000 USD, with potential for growth.
- Relocation: Opportunity to relocate to the UK for eligible pilots from the USA and Canada.
